Naomi was one of Alison DiLaurentis’ best friends. She and Riley Wolfe were replaced by Alison’s new friends and have resented that fact (and the girls themselves) ever since. When Naomi was first ditched by Alison she thought it was one of Ali’s jokes. She assumed that Alison was playing with the other girls, making them think they were her new BFFs before she would ruin their reputations, and perhaps their lives. As time went on, however, Naomi grew to realise that Alison wasn’t coming back, that the popular girl truly had new best friends. It was a harsh thing to come to terms with, for Naomi. Being popular was everything.

Then, Kate Randall came to Rosewood. She was pretty, rather popular from the moment she arrived at school, and best of all she hated Hanna Marin, one of Ali’s new friends. Things seemed to finally be looking up for Naomi when she and Riley joined forces with Kate and have been trying to replace Alison and her group ever since.
